I thought I’d share a few short stories that have happened lately:
Connie was shopping at Walmart and she went to look at the laptops just to get an idea of how much they cost because I had been talking (begging) to her about buying one. While she was looking at them Johnny asked her to buy one and she told him that they were just looking and that maybe Daddy would get one at the end of the year. Johnny replied to her “No Momma, not for daddy. Buy me a laptop. Please Momma buy me a laptop.” He kept begging her to buy him and of course she answered in typical mother fashion “What, do you think I’m made of money?”
We were sitting in the living room and lately had been watching the World Cup which meant that Johnny could not watch his shows. So we were watching tv and he looked at me and told me that we needed a new television. I asked him where we needed it for and he said “In the room” which made me ask him if he meant our bedroom and he said ”No, the room.” and pointed to his bedroom .
So basically our three year old child thinks he needs a laptop and a television all of his own. What's he going to be like when he's ten? Do I need to say anything else?
