Johnny had a plan all along.......

Connie thinks that John wanted to go out of the house today but that he didn't think that we were going anywhere so he came up with a plan. He asked her to call Melita (from the family that used to babysit for him) so she put in the numbers and then he took the phone and called her. He told her that he loved her and that he wanted her to come get him and take him somewhere. He wasn't specific but he wanted to go see ninos and he made sure it would happen. So her sister Diana came to get him and he spent quite a few hours with their family. They love him dearly and he loves them just as much. It's very nice to have them as an extended family.

Another story, while Connie and I both were at work he asked Mili for her phone so that he could call me at work. She didn't have my work number in her phone but it turns out that it wasn't a problem for him. He knows my work number and both Connie and my cell phone numbers. As a matter of fact Thursday he had Mili's cell phone and kept calling me over and over at work until finally I had to tell him that I had to get some work done so I needed to go. Still, after that I went away from my desk and came back to see that I had another voicemail from him. He loves calling on the phone and is proving to be very smart and now he's making plans to get things done his way. The future is bright for him and looks tough for us.

UPDATE, I was incorrect, johnny only knows my telephone number at work. He knows how to use our cellphones to call each other but hasn't memorized the numbers yet but he will.

Novalee Dancing Video

Earlier today Novalee was dancing quite a bit in an unusual manner and I finally caught it on video. She's very funny.

All this drama just for a haircut....

In this first video I came into the living room to find John so that Connie could give him a haircut and I found him attempting to "hide" under his chair. He cried all the way into the bathroom and during his haircut. Afterwards he cried because he didn't want to take a bath even though he was covered in hair. This video is a bit dark but you get the idea.



The next day he again was hiding his head for some reason and I got Novalee to jump on him which I think is hilarious to see that little girl jumping on that big boy. It's a lot of fun. At the end you can see how much better he looks with his hair trimmed.

This is a video of Johnny helping Connie out in the kitchen. In his school they have one day a month where someone comes in and teaches them to cook. He said last time they made donuts. Unfortunately he saw me with the camera and immediately focused on that. Still, he's cute and all and we love him, even if he is a camera hog.

After leaving the mall we went to McDonalds where both John and Novalee showed how hungry they were. Then when we were leaving Novalee got really excited at the display for Happy Meal toys. Oh yeah, and Green Bay beat Pittsburgh in the Super Bowl or something.

Cabin Fever Dictates That We Go To The Mall

Sunday we all decided to get out of the house and do something so we ended up at the mall where John and Novalee played for awhile. It was needed. While I had been out of the house going back and forth to work Connie and John had only been out for a brief period on Saturday when we went to WalMart and Mili and Novalee had not been out at all since the snow storm had started. Since we are expecting another storm in a few days it was good for us to take advantage of it.
